- Thomas Jefferson said"not a foot of land would be taken away by Indians", he didn`t keep that promise.
- They adapted their government to the U.S. , build schools and many became Christians.
- The Indians loss ninety millions of acres and they were alloted on their reservation was poor it was not good for farming.
- They led a group of his people back to their traditional lands, he fought with federal troops.
- They didn`t care what the Constitution say they wanted the land and what the land had.
- No, probably I`ll fight for my rights and for my land. I`ll try to put all my people against them and fight.

The Kumeyaay Tribe
- The Spanish were naming indian groups they were 25,000 to 30,000 natives a new name it`s Disegueno. The old name was Kumeyaay.
- The Diseguno ate lots of diffrent foods they hunted small game like rabbits, picked wild fruits, berries and their staple acorns.
- They had three groups of people divided into three bands they were Ipai, Tapai and Kamia.
- The Spanish did convert in Christianity they use the soldiers to subude them.
- In November 4 and 5 in 1776, the Kumeyaay surrounded Mission San Diego de Alcala they set fire to its wooden structures and attacked a small contingent of Spanish.
- Kumeyaay currently 20,000 people live in San Diego County.
- Women tattooed their chins, foreheads, cheeks, arms and their breast. Men would tattoed their legs and would paint sometimes their faces.
- Women would wear willow bark skirts, and men would not wear clothing they would only wear agave belts for the tools. In winter they would wear rabbit fur blanket.
- They would know how to make weaving fine and thightly stiched baskets, they would wear it as hats. They used those things for covering their heads and for processing food.
- They could see their aircrafts in Cuyamaca State Park, they reconstructed the village.
- I believe is history that they should know about, like mexican history they rarely talk about it and I like it so I`m sure my daughter Pamela would like to know it, because were mexicans and we have to learn about this .history
